Writing about writing, what a writer thing to do.
I have this idea. A plan for a book. I want to write it. I want to fill out this whole world that I dream of every night. I imagine the story, where it starts, where it goes, and what information you, the reader, might need at what moment.
Hours of my night are spent this way. I always think, “Tomorrow before work, I’ll chunk out a few new sections. But by the time morning hits and the coffee is brewed, my brain has been filled with thoughts of the work day and what I’ll make for dinner. The time and space for writing seem to always be the thing that gets pushed, and that’s what this is all about.
This is mostly an exercise in writing. In making a habit. It is developing a skill, so that one day. When I get my writing shit together enough to make this book, I’ll hopefully also have the discipline.
In the meantime, the world I build remains trapped in my head, keeping me awake at night as I develop characters I can’t wait to share with you.
Welcome to my exercise space. I’m so glad you’re here.
